Honest caveats

The detectability results are conditional illustrative regions (edge-on geometry, 100% occurrence, idealized continuous coverage, a near-IR noise model (white photon term + non-integrating systematic floor), an illustrative M-dwarf grid — not a survey yield). The naturalness estimate is an order-of-magnitude channel sum with ranged, literature-anchored inputs; its conclusion is reported, never asserted in code or tests.
